Jeanier Howard is the Principal at Captain Gilmer School. She was born on the Island of Antigua in the Caribbean and lived on the Island of St. Croix USVI. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters of Education from the University of Cincinnati.

Ms. Howard has a passion for education - especially at the elementary level. She believes that education is empowerment and all children deserve a solid foundation. Ms. Howard has over 25 years of experience in education - in the classroom as a head teacher and as principal. She is especially passionate about Christian Education and strongly believes this is God's call for her life.

Ms. Howard has two adult children who reside here in Fletcher, North Carolina. She enjoys reading, book talk, cooking and sharing her faith with others.
